Los Angeles area Teachers

Can anyone help point me in the direction of a good upright teacher in the Los Angeles area? I work in Santa Monica and live in Agoura Hills which is the west end of the San Fernando Valley, and am looking for a good teacher. I have played electric bass for 25 years and want a new challenge. Either that or I am just going crazy since I turned 40...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Luther Hughes, he teaches at Long Beach State and Cal Sate Fullerton. I have a friend who have studied with him and he said Luther is a very teacher, both for arco and pizz! I don't have his phone number, but he has a web site,lutherhughes.com, you can send him an email and inquire about lessons. And by the way, I played electric bass for 30 years and starteding playing string bass about ten years ago. It's never to late to start. Have fun!
