In the market for a new bass.

With my Orchestra starting up again, I've decided to buy to a new bass. However, currently I am unsure of my budget, so it'd be great if you could guys list some basses in the:
$1000-$2000 Range
$2000-$3000 Range
and
$3000-$4000 Range

Also, I'll be using the bass for mostly Classical and Jazz. Both Pizz and Arco.
