merson violin bass
I saw this bass for sale, the guy says it's german but the tag says Merson Violin Bass... New York. (maybe the NY reference is to a distributor?)

Does anyone here know anything about this bass? It looks about 50 years old.

Yes, Merson was a lage wholesaler in New York.
