Question Michael Glas Bass?

I have a Michael Glas German handcarved bass that I purchased over 2 years ago from a dealer in Mass. At the time it was around $6000, and since then he has told me that the value of these basses has gone up to 11 or 12k now. However, he has not sent me any documentation concerning this (tho i have asked him), and i am wondering if any of you can confirm this, or is he pulling one over on me?...I googled Michael Glas a while ago but didnt find what i was looking for.
i would appreciate any info on this as i am not willing to fly with it until i have full insurance on it, and need some documantation to get that.

Written appraisals are usually $100-$200. Could you post some pics of this bass? I'm curious...

Cool Google it

I found these two posts mentioning your maker; http://www.basslessons.com/webboard/...ages/2998.html

http://www.basslessons.com/webboard/messages3/3076.html

I Think he paid 5,000 BP (UK Pounds) for it in 2001 or before. Yours is German made and typical of that School of making. Insure it for what it would cost to replace it or a similar grade/value Bass.

When I was looking for basses a little under a year ago, I had one of these on loan for a little while. It was appraised at 10,000.

Here's a link to the bass I had:
