Molly and co .. look: Another ply beauty joins the family

Flying the European flag this time. 7/8 sized hybrid (maple top) Framus from 1950s (?). No label, but a stamped 990 or 066 inside the peg box. Anyone know how to date?

Sounds absolutely MASSIVE. Is absolutely MASSIVE. I'm in love. Kay and King are toys in comparison....

This is a stunning bass.

Just what I was thinking. Perfect English garden. Your wife must be very proud. Nice bass too!

Nice Framus, Paul. I just bought my first bass which is a Framus hybrid with a cutaway. Mine is 3/4 but you're right ... the sound is amazing.

I love this bass...looks like a thumper. I didn't realize there were Framus basses without the cut away. Thanks for posting.

Very Nice Paul…the bass family is growing. They just keep following you home.

Sorry for the delayed reply. We have just returned from a festival where we had horrible weather. I am happy to be home, dry and cleaning mud off everything.

So the new bass is MASSIVE! I have seen Framus basses before but never heard one. I can offer nothing about history or serial numbers. This is a bass I am not knowledgeable about. And yes beautiful English garden. A quaint setting like that has some history behind it.

Best wishes and enjoy the new bass.
