More info on Epiphone bass

Hello, just bought an Epiphone 3/4 bass. The instrument model is BV-5 and is a sunburst finish. It has the #579 stamped beside the rosewood endpin. Serial # seems to be EY-1619. It has a rosewood fretboard and nut and a maple (matching the body) tailpiece with the "epiphone" label on it. The "gun metal black" tuners have no engraving. It has a black "binding" going around top and back. The bridge is adjustable and reads "Menzel". I love it--especially for $350--any info would be much appreciated. I have read several things about the B-5 model but have seen nothing on the BV. Thanks,

If it's in decent shape, -350 sounds like a deal for a bass.
