Wow cool!

I don't normally like busettos, but the FB extension and carving along the edge of the top make it really cool.

Thanks guys. I didn't play any bass because I'm a lousy DB player There's no way in the world I'm going to play some DB's in a place full of luthiers and professional bassplayers I heared someone play the Pöllman basses and they sounded really full and warm. Great basses.

Here are some more Musikmesse pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/jonas.lohse/Musikmesse2009#
BTW, the pics in your "unknown" directory were taken at the Strunal booth (Czech Ease). And you've missed Björn Stoll's booth, he also had some nice basses there.

Thanks for posting the Pics!

Absolutely beautiful. I showed the Pollmann Lion's head to my wife and daughter. They both thought it "looked weird" If money were no object, I'd get that one.

Yes. The bass we've shown is a 5/8 size model, but there's also a 3/4 size available. (The guys are Giorgio Pianzola, one of our dealers in Switzerland, and Chi Yang, the founder of Concord/Christopher.)

Those are very nice. The shop I work at sells Pollman's just like those. Same ornamental carving and scroll and rounded corners.

Hi,

What model number is this going to be in the 5/8 size? I have three young ladies that are in need of basses in this size and I would like to get my hands on one to try... are they fully carved?

Thanks,
Brian

Actually the ones in the picture is the Amati copy under "Replicas" which run into the $6k ranges.
I think you can enquire from your nearest dealer to order 1/2 and maybe 5/8 sizes in any of the 100-600 series which will be cheaper.
