Dave Merrill?

Is that Dave Merrill formerly of Merrill Brothers guitars?

Steve,
Yes. The same Dave Merrill. The center guitar is a "Merrill Brothers" model. The one on the right is a "DR Merrill" (Dave Merrill) guitar. Dave's guitars are (IMHO) nicer than his brother's and less expensive. He's a true craftsman and his wood working skills are magnificent. He also wrote the second tune.

Nice job, sounds good.

The bass is pretty light to my ears, but you can tell that it's there.

Those AM calls for local news shows is a *real* experience. I've done a few, and there's nothing quite as amusing as seeing the young wanna-be anchor people going through their poses at 6:30 in the morning...

Yeah, I and can't hear the bass at all... but it's nice looking instrument - just what I'd love to have for a jazz act (yeah, I know that blonde basses are supposed to be for bluegrass/rockabilly - but i'm a rebel!)

Thanks guys.
The bass is an Englehart EM-1 that's been refitted with an ebony fingerboard, custom bridge and K&K stereo pickup.

I could have sworn that that was Tobey Maguire playing the guitar! It sounds like you guys play an interesting mix of music. I liked the tune for the second song--was that an original? It almost sounded like an old time tune with new lyrics.

Thanks. Both tunes were originals
