My Double bass Conversion

As I mentioned many moons ago, "Otto" my very Old German Butler, er I mean, Double bass, needed a new neck and so I, at vast expense, converted it to a Five string....

And it is nearly READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I canny wait! I'll let you all know how good it is soon!

But then I'll need a new 5 string Electric to Bring every thing in line, sigh!

I can't afford one and then "Roxanne" will be upset.....

I got it back Its amazing!!!!

Action a bit high, need to lower it, but that's OK!

Even the E string sounds Deeper eh?

And the Low B it just Growls, and Thuds all in one! How in the Lords name...., no hang on that blasphemous, did I do with out that extra string!

One can play 2 octave D runs, and vibrate the floor, I love IT!

Jazz improvisations on baroque master pieces, I could go on but I think you'd rather I didn't...

Mind you I see Otto only at weekends, sigh I feel like a divorcee!

I'll put pics up next week!

This is what I found as well. No worries. Jens Ritter can fix you right up. He makes killer 5 string electric basses. You get used to five strings and you want them all the time. Looking forward to the pictures of Otto with the new attire!
