My Dream Bass, the Charton B21

After viewing this bass in Double Bassist magazine I just had to share it with everyone. Patrick Charton has built this very innovative instrument. Take a look. I'm sure that I could never affort it, but I can dream can't I.

I understand thay they cost around $30,000 USD. I was very interested in one of these until I discovered the price. Of course, if I'm mistaken, and they are much less, I'd love to know that.

That bass is stunning--I love it. It makes so much sense and it would be so practical

How does he keep the sound post in place? My ability to read french has seriously declined

I spoke with Msr. charton a few days ago. A very gracious man I must say. Price is the same for all the basses. 22.500 euros. The waiting ist is about 2-2.5 years.
I am now on it. I wont be getting a B21 though.

That B21 was nice. Whats up with that last bass on the list? It had like double tuners. They were sticking str8 out the side like a cello and then it also had the reg tuners at the same time on the same strings. Can some1 explain that concept?
