My new baby

Hey everybody. Just want to share my new bass and bow with everyone. It's a 2004 Pollman Rossi. It's fairly large, about 7/8ths, but has a 41 1/2 string length. The bow is a B. Michael Dolling french bow and I believe it was made within the past year or two.

The bass isn't technically mine yet, I have it on trial from Gage's shop and I have to wait to see what my teacher says about it, but I'm pretty sure this is the bass for me.

Let me know what you guys think.

-Alex

Mighty nice man! I've seen this pattern before. The lower bouts are huge.

yeah man. this bass moves a lot of sound. what's nice is it has the same string length as my last bass so i don't have to relearn the fingerboard, but since it's a 7/8ths it's like twice as loud. maybe once i get more comfortable with the french bow, i'll post some sound clips so you guys can hear it in action.

Hey everyone -

I am officially the new owner of this beauty. Just thought I'd post a couple more pictures of the bass with the new Gage extension on it. Enjoy.

That's a lovely bass Alex and the Gage Shop really captured the flavour on that extension!
