I go to school with Andrew (and actually share the practice room with him). His bass is a beauty and plays so well. The crack you're asking about- it WAS an open crack that has been repaired (very well I might add). Yes it is visible, and it has no effect on the sound at all. Gorgeous bass!

Well, uh, thanks for the info. Did Andrew's computer break? Of course, a well-repaired crack should have no effect on the sound.

Haha thanks Danny, and I did in fact just get back from practicing. The crack definitely didn't effect the sound. I should have some recordings of this bass by Friday.
