My New Shen!

Well, I finally bought my first double bass! A Shen SB80, courtesy of Nick Lloyd. It has TI Superflexibles and a Fishman Full Circle p/u. It's gorgeous. Plays and sounds great too.

Be sure to pencil an extra "N" where Nnick's name is stamped on the bridge. He really digs it when people do that.

Wow - your skills with the pencil are far greater than mine.

what kind of strings are on your shen? Just wondering if they were generic or not.

I had Thomastik-Infield Superflexibles installed. I needed something that I could play both arco and pizz. After reading here on TB and talking to Nick, we decided on the Superflexibles.
