This was his bass of later years. I had it repaired at Stein on Vine in LA, had a Realist p/u installed. Gary said it was maybe Czech or French, late 19th or early 20th century. Its kind of beat, but man it sounds good! Keeps me connected to my Pop.

It even has the same finish. The kicker is that most of the chips and cracks appear to be in the same place.
