from the ebay listing "still in excellent condition great for musical functions" From this we can assume it is built from quality stock, and is likely of Italian or English origin.

...remember-- you can't judge how it may sound just because it has thin ribs. I'm betting it is a Hungarian copy that is made to look like an authentic lawn ornament.
