MYSTERY BASS -- help needed

This was my first bass...and nobody has been able to really identify it. I've been told that it might be German, and that it might be from the 1800's. If anyone has any clues about it, please let me know. There is nothing written on the inside (other than what looks like somebody's social security number) - 079-07-6476. Thanks!

yeah looks germanic because shape and outside linings, but to id/date it you need to show more pics

1. full frontal
2. closeup F
3. closeup button/neck block area
4. any shots you can get inside with a flash.
5. any interesting detail like edge detail, corners, purfling on the back
6. closeup tuners. you might be able to match the decoration on the plates to another known bass.

etc ... all details help.

Hey... I noticed nobody replied to your pics. In my opinion, you do have a German instrument but I wouldn't place it as far back as the 1800's. I'd guess 1950's but definitely no earlier than the 1920's.

That could plausibly be many German makers. That's a sweet looking bass. The exterior linings and general wood quality are pretty sure signs of the German or German influenced maker. I tend to think the age is within 50-60 years.
