Unhappy Mystery Chinese laminate bass??

I just picked up a laminate Chinese 3/4 bass with no manufacturer or model labels that was originally purchased at World of Strings in Long Beach, Ca. around 5 years ago. It looks like a Shen SB80 but the boys at CSC say no. It sounds nice and I'm satisfied with it but would really like to know what the heck it is. Two clues are that it has indicators on the edge of the fingerboard which is great for me because I'm still learning my positions, and the tuners are the one plate for two style with a combination of brass and chrome. The end pin is also chrome and brass with an indented smaller steel shank. Help!
