The n00best of questions

I don't want to sound like an idiot, so maybe you can help me out.

A 3/4 upright. Is it spoken as three quarters or three fourths?

I say 'three-quarter'(not three quarters). I'm probably wrong, being primarily a slabbist.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, thats the problem. Its not the photographers fault. And thats extra scary to me. Theres a large out-of-focus monster roaming the country-side.

Mathematically, yes. But I'm sure that one is used more commonly when speaking of uprights.

"three quarter" here. but i think most people would know exactly what you mean if you said "three fourths". i wouldn't hold it against you.

Generally Its a 3/ fourths bass or a 3/ quarters-size bass as I've observed it.

I own a couple of .75 basses.......HA! (JOKE). I always say three quarter.
