Need a bass at Carnegie Hall

Okay so I am guessing this is the right forum to post something like this? If not, maybe someone could kindly direct me to where I might get more luck.

Here's the deal. I have the opportunity to play in Carnegie Hall, the evening of Sunday, April 19. That evening, there's this huge honor/invitation children's choral festival - one of the choirs is led by my friend and professor from Texas Tech Univ. I told her I was going to go hear them perform and hang with her that weekend in NYC.

However, in addition, she's finishing up a little bossa-nova type accomp for one of the pieces, and is wondering if there's any way I can play bass for her in that. I told her sure, if there's some magical way a bass could be dropped off for me at Carnegie.

So here in lies the issue I thought I'd throw out there.... anyone have an idea? I live in Oregon so am not going to add a plane ticket for my bass - it's not worth it that much, nor is it necessary.

So..... ??!!

You should probably be able to rent one from a shop like that of David Gage.

Another possibility is to ask your teacher if she has any contacts with schools/colleges in NYC. She may have a contact who could help you source a bass for the weekend.
