Never fear, Engelhardt is on it's way!

Just ordered my first bass from Jerry this week. 2007 Engelhardt M1 model. Found this baby used for 1000$ from him. Adjustable bridge, d'addario strings (i think), nice dark brown jatoba board with some sweet curves. I'll get pics up when it arrives next week, she ships out thursday hopefully. In the meantime his webpage has a few

Near the bottom, close to middle.

Yep, amazing deal, the only problem is the 300$ or so I'll be paying to have it shipped to Montreal from Virginia.

Great looking instrument. I hope it serves you well! Will you get stuck with some additional duties / taxes?

taxes are a maybe, there isn't any duty on shipping "bowed instruments" (those played with a bow). I have the forms to avoid that.

$300? it's almost worth taking the trip and send a day or 2 in the Appalachian if you have time. (Probably 12 hours ride each way)

That, and I would need to go get a drivers license, rent a car, drive the 24 hours in about 12 hours (work and class) and hope to hell the bass fits in whatever mini rent-a-car I have lol. I'd love to take a road trip down, just not feasible for me unfortunately. Oh, and I still need toget my passport lol.

Hey Slaps, you still don't need a passport at land crossings between Canada and the US. They keep pushing the date back - its currently at June 2009.

Until then your photo driver's license and birth certificate will get you there and back.
