New Juzek basses

Hello everyone!

Sorry if this topic has been covered already, but I didn't find anything too specific in the archives. I'm considering picking up my first double bass.. a local shop (violins, etc.) pointed me to Christopher basses, but I'm looking at my options.

Is there an opinion on these boards about the new Juzek basses? I found this online:

$1700 is a great price, so anyone with experience please let me know what you think of this bass!

Also, how difficult would it be to find an old, pre-war (prague) juzek? ... with a decent price tag?

I don't know much about Juzeks in general, but the specific bass you're interested in is available in 1/2 size only, according to the website.
