New Rumano Solano Bass

I picked it up on 5/7 . Got to meet Rumano. There was supposed to have been a C-extension on it (search for my previous posts about this bass) but there was a mixup about that. First order of business is going to be deciding who to have put one on.

I like it. BIG sound, yet capable of very soft expression. Thunderous open A. A bit of a wolf at F# on the D string - I'm thinking about getting a Pecanic tailpiece to address that. I'd rather have the wolf there than on the open A, which in my experience is the usual location. The Bel Canto strings are nice. I spent a couple of hours about a week ago going through all the standard repertoire, and I concluded at the end that I was playing it better than I ever had, all else being equal.

I played my first concert with it yesterday, and it went well.

I'll try to post some pics of the back, which has a really nice look to it. Right now I've got to get something to eat and head to a rehearsal.

Question

Would you mind if I ask how much he charges for his instruments?

Beautiful instrument! Rumano does great work. At the ISB 4 years ago he had one bass that was a cannon! Slab cut Pine top I seem to remember...

Would you mind forwarding me this PM? I'm interested in the prices of his instruments, also.
