"The New Standard Bass" - No orders out of the NY area?

Is it true that you can't get a "New Standard Bass" Cleveland or LaScala outside of the New York area?

Not sure I understand your question. Arnold and Wil will ship their basses just about anywhere, I'm sure.

Where did you hear that? People from all over the US have been raving about them. The best way to get info is to email or call Arnold; http://www.aesbass.com/directions.htm

Mark Sonksen has a La Scala for sale in Chicago (if memory serves) and I just recently sold a Cleveland here in Cincinnati.

Nick...I believe it's a fully carved Cleveland that Mark has. I know this cause I got a chance to play it. A thing of beauty if I must say so.

I think I saw a Cleveland listed at Shank's in PA. Nice folks up there if you get a chance to talk to them.

I've got one, and I'm a fair distance from Wil and Arnold.
