| The biggest thing you'll have to overcome is technique. The second biggest thing you'll have to overcome is that such a class will likely not have you learning "songs" so much as you'll be learning "music." What I mean is that most classical pieces are based more on a progression based in music theory, rather than a set of repeating 8-bar motifs.
Not saying that you can't do it, or that the jazz you've been playing on EUB hasn't gotten you started down the right path. 4 months is cutting it pretty tight, though -- it took me about 4 months before I was comfortable enough with my technique to make playing the bass not sound awful -- it merely sounds "passable" now ;D It's easier if you're focusing on pizz, but arco means you have to learn technique for both hands, not just one.
You may have a hard time learning all of this while still going to school and having other class requirements, simply because studying/learning theory and learning to play upright bass can be mentally and physically taxing. You do not pick it up quickly enough that you can just practice for an hour or two on the weekend and hope to play well enough to manage a full song, let alone an audition.
