Brandon, most of us have lived it, read this, or both. |

If they're overpriced, then that means demand for them is high... are you still selling yours? |

I just sold a Kay for $3,600, and I think the buyer got a deal. If that Swingmaster didn't have a neck too thin for my big hands, I would've played that the rest of my giggin' days.

After all that has been discussed on this topic, especially recently (see this, for example), his statements strike me as an attempt to set off an incendiary device to see how much of a bang he can create.
By the way Brandon, I took a look at your profile again. "Teaching Credentials" refers to areas in which you are qualified to teach. So bass from 7th grade and beond.
Piano since 8 years old.
Drums (terribly) for a year.
doesn't really fit, unless these refer to your teaching experiences.

I think all of you really under estimate the Westside High school orchestra. WE have won many national competitions. And have been ranked the top high school orchestra for many many years.
I CAN play the bass thank you very much. I am deeply offended to those who say I can not. Not only can I play these pieces listed above. I am soloing for Bach's Cello suite No 1 on the bass. I have it memorized already.
And I can play violin, cello, electric bass, guitar, drums, ORGAN!, trumpet, saxophone, french horn, harp and piano.
I bet there are some people out there, who have never done what I have at westside high school. or even dreamed. |

And you may be able to "play" them, but that doesn't mean it sounds good. Quote:

Geez, I'm getting tired of some of the stuff being posted to this forum!

I bet there are some people out there, who have never done what I have at westside high school. or even dreamed. | I didn't see anyone say anything about your ability to play or the quality of the music program you're in. My point is that you didn't list what are your teaching credentials. As for your own prowess, I'll say two things:
1) Just because you can play, doesn't mean you can teach effectively at all.
2) Do you really think your experience measures up to many of the players who typically contribute here? Let me clue you in-- it doesn't come close. You're not going to impress this audience easily.

You're being a very bad boy here lately. You got a lotta people all riled up and pissing on each other with these silly threads.
May be time for a talk with mom and dad.
