Using it, you can switch necks by just giving the bass a quick spin- and you can bow either side! Notice the economy of effort obtained by sharing one set of tuners for all eight strings.

Wow! Which luthier is building that? Should the tailpieces be compensated independently or by taking into account mutual resonances? What kind of case would one need? How much would a flight case be? While playing one side, should one tie down the strings on the other so that they don't vibrate in sympathy? Should the soundposts be placed in mirror symmetric positions or offset slightly to guard against strong nulls and peaks? Does it come in a "virtual roundback" and "virtual flatback?"  |
