NS Cleveland near Minneapolis?

I'm shopping for a bass. Having read a lot of posts here, I feel like I can't make a final decision until I try one of these New Standards many of you have raved about. But it seems like they're an East Coast thing...Are there any Minnesota Cleveland owners out there? I'll also be playing gigs in Iowa, Madison and Chicago in early Nov., so I'll be in the neighborhood there too, if anyone will let me give their Cleveland a try.

Ever since I found out my Cremona was caving in (not worth saving), I've been researching basses on TalkBass. Tripled my knowledge about my instrument in just a few weeks. Thanks for all the postings!

Don't know if you're looking for a ply, carved or hybrid bass, but Mark Sonksen in Chicago has a fully carved Cleveland:

Hey!
If you want an actual carved bass I have one for sale and I am a music student here in Minneapolis. The price is right around what you would pay for either a cleveland laminated or hybrid. Let me know if you want to take a look.

Thanks for the suggestions

Thanks for the suggestions. I might try a fully carved bass to see what it's like, but I think a laminate or hybrid would be a better fit for me.

I've already contacted Mark at Soneksen Strings to see what he has on hand.

I'll have to try the fully-carved Cleveland anyway, even though it's a bit out of my pricerange...
