Fred | Mine sounds like a $20k bass, but after sweating for a whole year with the setup.
I did the setup myself so it didn't cost me much, but if you had to try all the different things I tried with a hired luthier, you would understand why they only go for $6k. |

Unfortunately, Peter's instruments were inconsistent. One bass may sound awesome and the next mediocre. You can't beat the price, that's for sure.
I'm not sure how many Sybil has left in her basement. You may find the best have been picked over. Say hi for me. |

What has been mentioned about Peters instruments is very true, some sounded fantastic and was the best deal you could get some others were just very beautiful pieces of wood. If you find one that sounds great go for it.
