Pfretzschner

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I purchased an Erich Pfretzschner bass made by Reynolds with a model number of VB600 1/2 over a decade ago from a store that was having a going-out-of-business sale. Now that I'm a little older and wiser, I'm wondering what I have. I can't find any good info online anywhere and wondered if anyone has heard of these instruments?

I've looked at International Strings (some sort of partner company with Reynolds?) and tried looking for info on Reynolds, but he seems to have closed his doors nearly a half-century ago. This bass doesn't look 50ish years old though, so I'm wondering if I have a fake, or an imitation or what? Can anyone help shed some light on this for me?
