Phil just sent me an email about a new site that he has created for traveling bassists who prefer to rent instruments rather than dealing with the hassle of flying with one. It's www.rentabass.com. You can list your bass if you have one to rent out or search by state if you need one at your destination. Phil rented my bass when he was in Central Oregon with Curtis Stigers. Fantastic player and a great guy.

That's a cool idea...but... no listings for NY or Cali yet. Still too new, I suppose?

I'd use this if it became well established. I'd love to get rid of my EUB.

I've been asked to rent my bass many times, but I rarely have a night off, so it never happens. I usually just refer people to local players with less work.
