Smile Planning to build an electric upright

As I plan to build an electric upright bass,
without having too much experience with this kind of basses,
i wondered if anybody on this forum could supply me with some
required information.

My question is about the often mentioned sizes of those basses,
1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1/1. What does those fractions refer to?
What I really ask for is that somebody with the knowledge would
take the time to put some messures on those fractions, in inches or
centimeters that is, of the scale of those basses.

Thanks so much in advance, and a happy newyear to all of you

This question comes up a lot. Yours is the second this week. Rather than rehashing all of this again, I suggest you check out the Newbie links at the top of the topic listings for basses. This forum also has a search fuction that can be used to look up more specific terms. I doubt if there is any question you have about EUBs that has not been answered here previously.
