| | | | pricing advice for selling this bass I'm going to sell this in the UK.
its not that great to play...but it looks nice.
I'm an electric bassist so hard to know how much to price it.
I'm thinking 500 pounds max.?
I don't know much about the make or anything.it laminated. last time I played it when I was over in the UK I disliked playing it & the action seems too high. so I decided to sell it.
thanks.

| | | | I know it's hard for you guys to price this without playing it and closely looking at it, but rough price idea would help alot.
p.s I can't find out anything about the sticker -someone here on TB tried to identify this, but no luck. |

I'm not able to appraise this instrument. You need a professional appraisal. Maybe it needs a good setup and worth twice or three times what you guess it's worth. Maybe it plays beautifully, being an electric player, you are not likely to know if it plays well or not. I began playing upright and have come to learn that a great sound does not come from low action on a double bass.
Drop a few quid on a professional appraisal and find out exactly what you have. Then decide if you want to sell it and for how much. Seek out a qualified appraiser in your neck of the woods. I'm sure some on TB can give you some names.
Peace

You don't sell a bass because of the bridge adjustment. Give it a chance cut down the nut and bridge, maybe have a luthier check the sound post and adjusters might help. It might just need a tweak here and there.
Have the luthier check the neck....looks like some dowels in there.
Check www.bobgollihur.com for a luthier in your area.

They are in Stoke Newington ,church st, London. Why not give them a ring and get an appraisal, they are experts. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
