A Question of Winter Travel

Good evening Lords and Ladies!

As the kids are saying these days, Winter is Coming, and that has brought up a question in mind.

When I get my Bass (Don't own it yet, but close), I will be taking her to Ensemble Practice once a week. I will bag her up and put her in the Prius and take her to the practice then back home.

Will the brief exposure to the cold be a problem? Is there a temp in which you should never, even on pain of death, take it out into the cold even in a bag and only for perhaps 20 seconds max (from house to a warm, waiting car)?

I don't really know what I'm talking about (I live in Florida) but I would assume the danger is having your bass acclimated to the cold, then dragging it into the lower RH of a heated house or building.

But then again, I've only seen snow a few times in my life.

You should be fine. Taking a bagged bass into the cold for 20 seconds isn't going to hurt anything.
