Renting a double bass...

I've been playing electric bass for about a year, and I want to take up upright badly. Because I'm not rich, I should probably rent one. So, where is the best place to rent one? (online or through a store etc.) and which one specifically. Thanks.

You can rent a bass in the New York area at the Bass Garden (bassgarden.net.)

As Henry Fonda told my cousin (later 70's) when they chatted casually in a Manhattan deli..."Mr. Fonda I want to be an actor." Mr. Fonda replied..."Son, I hope you know what you're getting yourself into...."

You can take this to the Bank...the sooner you can bag a bass using whatever method you desire... Your life will not be happy without it! I don't know why I waited until I was 56 to procure my first double bass.? (And it will NOT be my last)
