I am trying out a carved DB made by Robbie McIntosh of Cambridge, NY,for possible purchase. If you own(ed) or use(d) one, what is your opinion of it? I would also like to know what prices they have sold for.
I was just at the Violin Society of America Double Bass workshop at Oberlin with Robbie. He is a deep thinking maker and an excellent craftsman. His basses are excellent. I've learned a lot from him over the nine years since we met. If you like the bass, don't hesitate.
