Shipping Process

hi i am not fully understanding the shipping process of Upton Basses. For those of you who order it and dont pickit up, i am in columbus ohio, and i want to order it safely and have it delivered safely. So, can anyone tell me what happens or if you did a special arrangement, what you did and how the bass was delivered. Thanks guys

Why don't you just phone them up and ask them directly how they'd ship it to you? I'm sure they ship basses pretty often and could tell you what the options are.

The folks at Upton are pros and have got the shipping down. They shipped my bass in a giant wooden crate about the size of a refrigerator; rock solid and not a scratch. It only took a few days to arrive at my local Fedex Freight center, about ten miles away. I brought a few hand tools ( bring a crowbar, hammer, and cordless drill) and the folks at the center let me disassemble the box and toss it in the dumpster when I was done, so I only had to put the bass in the back of the car and drive away. I've had several basses shipped this way and never took the crate home- don't be afraid to offer a $20 bribe to sweeten the deal ....
