I've been a lurker for some time and have been looking for my first DB. I've been playing electric bass for about 10 years.
There a Czech DB for sale in my area and the owner doesn't know the model.
What are your thoughts?
Here is the description:
"For sale is a very nice double bass. It is set up for jazz with newish (<6months) thomastik spirocore strings. The neck is very easy to play on, it isn't too chunky and the fingerboard was recently planed. This is a 3/4 size instrument, which is considered full sized, but isn't too big for most younger players.
Cosmetically, it looks very nice. Very slight wear only. The back is book matched and nicely flamed.
It comes with a gig bag, and I'll throw in a bow as well if you'd like.
