'Sinclair' DB on ebay UK

Hi All, been a while since i put anything on this site.

seen a 'sinclair' double bass for sale. the guy says that its about 80 years old, but has not put any more info on it. Does anyone know anything about the maker? Would be good to find out cuz i am in the market for a carved bass. I live quite close to him so i can go see it. Anything in particular i should be checking for on the bass as well, aside from the obvious cracks etc??

There was a relatively unknown amateur maker by that name in the UK in the 19th century and made a few Violins. This bass on UK ebay looks to be a typical mid 20th century German Plywood bass.
