Sue Graham Mingus

Sue Mingus, wife of the late Charles Mingus, ceremoniously presented one of Mingus' bass to a European bassist after hearing his performance one evening. I was listening to a NPR program one afternoon that featured the musician's music. Can anyone name this astonishing musician?

The first bass I think she gave to a bassist was to Aldar Pege.
