T. G. Pfretzschner upright bass

Anyone know anything about these basses..says made in Germany. Used the "search" but all I saw was G. A. Pfretzschner. I did find that T. G. Pf--- makes violins and cellos but nothing on basses. Interested in quality..can I find out the age by model and serial number??

Post some pics. Sounds like your bass is a factory import by a US company using the trade name TA Pf... that also put the label in violins and cellos from what I can see from a google search.

Older Pfretzschner carved basses can be very nice instruments. I believe they may be labeled G.A. It wouldn't surprise me if someone is using that name in new Chinese instruments, much like Juzek is doing now.
