Taken the plunge--DB ordered

After 35+ years of guitar playing and 7+ years on the EB, I took the plunge today and ordered my first DB.

In the "waiting to be built" que at Upton Bass--an Upton Standard Gamba style (A new model not yet advertised according to Gary. After all those years on the GTR, I have a thing about big bottom, curvy instruments ) complete with an Upton Solo fingerboard and bridge adjuster. The bass will be strung with Gary's Blended set. I also added the Preserve Double Bass saddle. In addition, I aided the U.S. economy buy ordering an Upton Bow (French, since I studied cello a few years back) and bow case, a DB stand and I'm having the Revolution Solo PU included. The bass will be set up 50/50 Classic/Jazz.

I must say that Gary & Kay (my contacts so far) have been a pleasure to work with.

I'll post photos with "My Baby" upon arrival

I better get some batteries for my tuner....
