Just to calrify-- Upton no longer imports basses from the Kmiotek shop. The (hybrid?) Hawkes you ordered is a fine instrument in its own right. What it will share with mine is a pristine setup. Hey, the bass in those pics is only five minutes from your house as we live in the same town!

muchas gracias d00ds

i got the bass through a dealer in Long Beach, CA at the store: World of Strings. The guys name was John Peterson. It was a $7500 bass, and after 5 years of existance and heavy use on my part, the sound is incredible for the price.

The Kmiotek is gorgeous...and the figure on that back of that 5er is something Shakespeare could write a sonnet about.

Beeeeautiful basses

This is my Upton Es9!

i got rid of the k&k and have a revolution solo II now

rockabilly is cool (I got steamboat willie playing my Es9 tattooed on my arm by the way)

I just ordered another bass from upton a shen sb80, i got it cheaper, because it has some spalts and didnt meet upton standards, these are that i have right now,

what do you guys think about the spalts? they told me to treat the bass as i would any other bass and i should be just fine.

I dont realy post on here, just usually read. but im always posting on rockabillybass.com

cant wait to get my upton shen too!
