Update

I think my Christopher quest has come to an end. I will NOT be getting a Christopher Bass at all. Not now anyways.

I have doing lots of research and have tested many DoubleBasses of many price range, some very expensive very old. I have learn lots of things about sound in the process. I have NOT been able to try any Christopher Bass, so I really dont know.

I learned that the sound and feel of New DBs wasnt really what I was looking for. Its hard to explain this, but I had to go pretty expensive to find a new instrument that "spoke" to me.

I am a rude dude, I just felt so silly with a spanking new budget DB. lol

A luthier friend offered me a 20+ year fully carved old factory hungarian¿? DB. He said that it is not worth making all the necesary upgrades to make it a better DB yet but is its still better sounding that a modern factory bass.

He gave a really good deal, so I had no choice. The DB felt and sounded right from the begining, Beautiful lows, defined highs, great harmonics. I am putting Spiro reds on lows and flexicore on highs. I do study arco

I should have gone for spiro weichs maybe? u knows.

I am getting it this thursday

It plays beautifully. It sounds great. I am so amazed at how many new sounds i am discovering. Subtle elements that add up.

Got my full circle set up.
