Tony plays with Bob Dylan btw...

I kinda remember seeing a photo of the two of them with the DB in question but I just can't place it. I must be getting ready to join the OLD GUY... |

Thanks,

I enjoyed Tony's work with Clarence Gatemouth Brown. Really swinging!
BTW, I hear that the 'Angels are riding hogs with the band, and doing security at Mr. Zimmerman's shows these days. |

All I'm getting from the link is a pdf that won't load. No biggie.
Tony is a fine bassist, with whatever instrument he's using. |

As someone who came from pop and roots music, and who is and always will be an immigrant in the world of jazz, Tony's been an inspiration. I play double bass because of seeing hearing him live with Dylan back in 1990.

I had an interesting experience with Mr. Dylan more than a few years ago (maybe 10 or 15 years). I played with him out in Malibu one day at one of his places. It was not a great musical experience by any stretch; to raw and folky for me as well as out of tune and out of time, but it was fun watching him be BOB DYLAN.
