I'm going to look at this bass tonight (it will be my second, after learning for ~year on an engelhardt). From what little i know, the price seems low, even for an unidentified origin bass.
I'm not much for pedigree, so if it sounds good I'll buy it, but curious if any more experienced players have any insight.

Just look at the edge of the top. if the wood grain continues over and through the edge, you know it's a solid top. If it gets sorta hard to tell.... then I'd be extra suspicious.
