Upright for newbie help

Hey all, I've crossed over from the BG side of the forum because I'm interested in taking up the upright. I've read the newbie links about Ply vs Carved and Hybrid. At the moment, I'm researching on different basses and would just like the opinion of the DB community on this bass:

http://www.bassworks.com.au/pages/on...ouble-bass.php

I tried searching about it but "st." doesn't get searched and all the results I get from "antonio" are location based.

Is there anyone out there that can tell me a little bit about these basses? It's the only hybrid I can afford down in Melbourne. I'd be interested in learning Piz and Arco, but leaning towards Piz, if that helps.

My guess is that the name is Bassworks own house brand. Ask them about it.
