Upton Standard Hybrid All Done!!!

Well y'all, the time has come, Josh from Upton Bass made the best phone call I've gotten in a long while, my Standard Hybrid (USA) is Finished!!!!

I'll be picking her up tomorrow around 4, so I'll probably be back around i dont know like 7-9, I'll be sure to write an uber-newbie review and post plenty of Bass Porn

I'll be posting pics and a review anywhere from 8-10 Eastern Time tomorrow night!

Happy Practicing,
Mike

Its Here

Well The Bass is In!!!!!!

Sound: Just what I wanted, Uber Growly, Deep Bottom, and wood-y, exactly like the deluxe, awesom bass for the cash

Playability: Set it up for 80% Pizz and 20% Arco, with TI Spirocores in Light, very very playable even for my Upright-Virgin fingers, fingerboard in immaculate, neck wood has plenty of wood grain that are useful as landmarks when trying to figure out where those damn notes are

Aesthetics: I got the standard so i was expecting not-so-pretty, i was wrong. Its got a rich, dark finish and the wood has some great character to it, the "ugly" poplar back and sides are stunning, although it is less pretty than the deluxe, its not $1000 in aesthetics between the two

Upton's Customer Service: Wow! From day one in the shop being educated by Josh, and ordering the bass, they made it extremely clear on what I needed and didn't need, and had it all in stock when I came to pick it up, and even showed me a couple pointers while i was there

The Upton Shop Bow: Havn't used it yet

Upton Deluxe Bag: Very Sturdy from what I could tell, with a huge pad over the bridge, and tons of room for bows, rosin, charts and tons of other crap, and handy dandy little wheels on the bottome

Pup: Makes the Bass Sound like The Bass But Louder

Overall: Couldn't Be Happier

Bass Porn

Happy Practicing Y'all!!!!

Congratulations! I love my Upton (deluxe) hybrid and I too was very happy with their service and the quality of their workmanship. Enjoy your bass.
