I've had a chance to try a couple, but very briefly. They were really nice. As for the removable neck, ask me in a year, my spot is booked on his waiting list - august 2008.

is there an option to not have a detachable neck.. since this is made on order no?

I guess you can request a bass without the detachable neck, but Mario does it standard on his instruments. It allows for very refined setups, because you can change the angle of the neck too.

I played this instrument at ISB. The details he put into that bass are spectacular.
