What Kind of upright?

Hello, I'm moving off to college soon and I need to find a double bass which will suffice to play in the college Jazz band. I played the school's bass all through high school and now I am without, honestly I have no idea what is good in the world of uprights.

Essentially I am looking for some recommendations on a good upright, what do you guys play? My price range is around 1000-1800.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

You are the 14,567th person to ask that question this year. Seriously, check out the newbie links. They contain a wealth of information. Then c'mon back with questions.
