Well, that depends. Am I buying it or selling it?

MR. POLLSTAR-
What's with all these polls, man? Are you buying one? Are you selling one? Or are you doing some statistical research for your thesis on EM1s?

what's it worth

It depends:
on your market area,
the condition of the bass, and of course what a willing buyer and seller will agree on.
In near mint condition, with good set up, strings, bridge, everything right....1200-1500.

value

Note that I said with good set up, good strings, bridge etc.

I've never seen one from the factory with proper bridge height, bridge height(or a very good bridge period), proper fingerboard curve or fingerboard scoop. If you lower the strings at the nut and bridge to playable level, the strings then buzz on the fingerboard because it's not scooped right.
I don't really try to keep up much with these basses, but I think they list for around $1400 new, but I've always heard you can get them from the factory for a lot less.
